Epic, Ikon, Mountain Collective, Magic Pass: who covers what

Multi-resort passes decide more ski trips than snow reports do, and pass coverage is scattered across four marketing sites that change every spring. For Alpy’s resort catalog we checked all 51 verified resorts against the official 2026/27 pass pages — epicpass.com, ikonpass.com, mountaincollective.com and magicpass.ch — in October 2026.

The shape of the 2026/27 landscape

• The Alps are mostly à la carte. Most big European names on our list sell their own passes; US mega-pass coverage in Europe is selective and often day-limited (“Ikon: limited days” is the most common annotation in our data — Zermatt among them).
• Ikon’s limited-days model covers marquee Alpine resorts with 5–7 day allotments rather than unlimited access. Fine for a trip, not a season.
• Magic Pass remains the Swiss outlier: dozens of small and mid-size Swiss areas, unlimited, at a price that embarrasses day-ticket math if you ski Switzerland often.
• North American catalog entries split familiarly between Epic (Vail-owned mountains) and Ikon (Alterra and partners).

Why the verification date matters

Pass rosters change annually and sometimes mid-year; an app showing last season’s coverage is worse than one showing none. Alpy ships the checked date next to the data (“verified October 2026 for 2026/27”) and links you to official pass sites to buy — the app sells nothing and books nothing. When next season’s rosters publish, we re-verify and re-stamp.
